Bassenthwaite Bimble

Distance: a couple of miles
Ascent: none to speak out of
Dry but very wet underfoot

We attempted (bad backs permitting) a very short walk around Bassenthwaite when the rain had stopped for once this year. The path we'd thought to take was a muddy mess, so we opted for a route mostly on track with some woodland mud included for good measure.

The walk went passed the wild life park, so there were some very strange animal noises going on. I saw a monkey/lemur type thing, but Rob told me off for looking as we hadn't paid to go in the park proper.
