Distance: 13.5 miles
Ascent: 600m
Weather: chilly but dry
Two deer frolicking.
One dog jumping up incident.
No pub visiting.
Our first walk out for a while, the day started wet (it has been very rainy and stormy of late) but the forecast was pretty good.
We planned a walk that would be mostly on lanes or good tracks, it was mostly easy going although hard on the feet after a while with only a few very wet or muddy parts.
We went around Strinesdale and up the lane passed the Roebuck pub and over the back of Bishop's Park. Turned right along the lane down into Delph and around over Lark Hill. Had oat cakes and cheese lunch walking along here. Around Castleshaw reservoirs, over the hill and down into Denshaw. We didn't detour to see if the pub was open. I should have put my coat on, but didn't and got cold.
